Horseback Riding
Hocking Hills State Forest provides
horseback riding trails
intermingling with both hiking
trails and hunting areas. Some of
the most scenic rides in Ohio, there are
nearly 40 miles of bridle trails
available at the forest. The Hocking
Hills Horse
Camp has 23 sites available on a
first come first served basis.
Drinking water is not always
available; riders should bring
additional water. Horses may be
ridden only along forest roads or on

riding stables.
Uncle Buck's Riding Stable -
Uncle Buck's Riding Stable features
scenic guided trail rides in Zaleski
and Waterloo State forests with
ample parking. (large enough for
buses) and picnic facilities. Uncle
Buck's guided horseback rides offer
a unique way to explore the 27,000
acres of the Zaleski State Forest.

Spotted Horse Ranch - Spotted
Horse Ranch features a 16 site
campground with electric and water
and a shower house with flush
toilets. There is also a cabin which
sleeps six. At the ranch, guests can
experience the excitement of riding
the trails on their own horses or
they can rent one from the ranch.
Also hiking, overlooking cascading
beaver ponds. There is a lighted
arena for NAS Horse open barrel
racing and other horse events!
